Tony's first reunion

The Salinas branch of the family tree (Bobby's grandmother's brothers and sisters) got together last night for a lot of food, karaoke, pictures and dancing. I met about 100 of Bobby's cousins, some of whom were at our wedding. Tony loved watching the live NorteƱo band and all of the great dancers we have in the family. He was even danced around the floor a couple of times by Tia Cathy and Grandma. The last picture is of Tony's Nana Betty, her brothers, Grandpa Tony, and all the grandkids (plus the great-grandchild, Antonio Wray).

Merry Christmas!

Today the family got together for Christmas brunch at our house and watched Tony (sort of) open presents. He really kind of poked at the wrapping and let me open them for him, but we had a blast either way. We stuffed ourselves on tamales and homemade cinnamon rolls (thanks for the recipe, Grandma Clyta) and had a great time trying to recall our first Christmas memories. There were also three generations of Tony's present: Grandpa Tony, Bobby's Uncle Tony, and our Tonito. After all of the playing with toys and relatives, and a nice nap, Tony had a bath. Here are the pictures!

weddings and chores

Here are a couple of pictures of our Tony. Last weekend I went to San Antonio to my friend Sharon's wedding. He and another little girl had a grand old time crawling around on the carpet. Notice how he is as big as the one year old next to him. The other pictures are from doing laundry today in our bedroom. Tony thought it was the coolest thing that I put him in the basket and then carried him around in it. He has started crawling on his hands and knees a little, but mostly scoots to where he wants to be --which is everywhere! He is constantly on the go and into trouble now. He's always all smiles (toothless still), though.
