Little Man Walkin'

Well, it has finally come. Our little crawling baby is now our little toddler. Tony started standing on his own about two weeks ago, and last week he started walking between furniture. Now he can pull up, let go, and make it almost across the room. He moves kind of like a drunken Frankenstein, but he is becoming more and more brave as the days go by. Note how the frog-shaped physique is still in tact. I am hoping that some running around in the upright position flattens out that tummy a little.

A boy's best friend is his dog...

We have often wondered how Earl would turn out as a family dog. He is very hyper and still a puppy, really, and we have been apprehensive about letting Tony and him pal around on the floor together. Well, today our minds were put at ease. These are the grainy, dim photos taken with our video camera of Tony and Earl palling around in our living room. After a few tours around the living room licking Tony in the face, Earl eventually settled down on the ottoman, and Tony kept frantically crawling between the stuffed ape in the corner and Earl, laughing and chattering the whole time. Earl pretty much let Tony do whatever he wanted to him without even turning around to see what was going on. These two are going to be quite the pair in the years to come - there is no doubt in my mind.
